Dr.-Ing. Andreas Lintermann is a postdoctoral researcher at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany. He is heading the Simulation Laboratory ‘‘Highly Scalable Fluid & Solids Engineering’’ (SLFSE) at JSC. SLFSE is part of the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance Center for Simulation and Data Science (JARA-CSD). His research focuses on bio-fluidmechanical analyses of respiratory diseases, lattice-Boltzmann methods, high-performance computing, high-scaling meshing methods, task-based programming models, modular supercomputing architectures, machine learning algorithms, and efficient multi-physics coupling strategies.
